So start today and read God's promises so that they are not unused
God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son
That they who accept the gift as His children be adopted
Washed clean from sin and from corruption
And from the penalty of sins be exempted
However, the gift is useless if not accepted
It hurts the giver leaving Him rejected
The rejecter's soul eternally bankrupted
For all our works are filthy rags and unaccepted
A blessing is not a blessing if left unclaimed
We suffer much and God is blamed
We wander through life severely maimed
